A Few Purchases.

Hey Everyone!  I had a quick trip into town the other day to have a look through the sales, however that didn't exactly go to plan when I bought all full priced items.  I only bought three items, as I am trying to hold back on the spending.

The first item I bought was this black studded bag.  For a while I had been looking for a larger bag to carry around with me, as I often find myself struggling to fit everything into one tiny bag.  I loved this one straight away, especially the stud detail and at only £22.99 you can't go wrong.

The second item was this black aztec sheer shirt at £14.99 (however I'm sure I paid £16.99 in the shop, hmm!).  I'm obsessed with wearing these kind of tops, especially with a statement necklace.  I loved this one for the Aztec pattern and the fact it's the perfect length for wearing with jeans/leggings or a skirt.

Finally after watching far too many youtube videos I found myself purchasing one of the Real Techniques brushes by Samantha Chapman.  I went for the Expert Face Brush, as I was looking for a really good brush for applying my foundation that would help me get good even coverage.  I can't wait to try it out!

Lipstick Collection.

Hey Everyone! I thought I would do a post on my lipstick collection, I say this but it's actually a small bundle..!  It's only recently that I've started wearing lipsticks, hence the quantity.  Before I was wearing lip gloss/balm etc.  Anyway I thought I would show you these, as they are the ones I wear most often.

1.  PLEASE ME by Mac £14.00
2.  CORAL by Autograph (Marks & Spencers) £8.50
3.  ROSETTE by Clinique £16.50 (I received this product in a free special offer gift set)
4.  SECRET ADMIRER by Topshop £8.00
5.  LOTUS by Natural Collection (Boots, not online)

I'm not really one for wearing dark lipstick, as you can see I stick to neutral and light shades of pink as I feel these suit my skin tone the best.

Christmas Tag.

Hey Everyone!  It's CHRISTMAS EVE EVE (woo), so thought I would do a Christmas Tag that I came across on Ellie's blog "Ellie's Ramblings".

What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
I love everything.  Giving/receiving presents, Christmas Dinner, Christmas TV programmes etc.  Just chilling watching TV and eating is what Christmas is about..

What is your favourite make up look for the festive season?
I usually just keep my make up natural all year round.  However at Christmas I might add some silver/sparkly eyeshadow and a dark lip, just to add a Christmassy look.

Real tree or fake tree?
Fake tree!  I've never had a real tree in my house, so that's just what I'm used to. If I did have an option I would stick to a fake tree.  I always have a fear that there could be spiders or anything chilling in a real tree.. (Yeah, weird I know).

Giving presents or receiving presents?
A bit of both really.  I like seeing peoples reactions to the presents I've bought them and I love receiving presents, I mean who doesn't?

Do you open presents Christmas Morning or Evening?
In the morning.  I would never have the patience to wait until evening to open my presents.

Handmade Christmas Cards or bought?
I I feel that sometimes bought cards can become a bit tedious, as some can look the same year after year, however I would say I do buy cards.  I love receiving Handmade cards as it shows that someone has put in some thought to design a card for you or pick a unique one from a shop or craft fair.

What is your favourite Christmas film?
The Holiday or Love Actually, I love rom coms.

What is your favourite Christmas food?
Everything! Is that allowed? I just love food.  My Christmas Dinner is the main thing I look froward to eating during the Christmas period.

What is your favourite Christmas song?
Step Into Christmas by Elton John.  Such a random choice I know, but I love it.  It's so cheery and up beat, putting you in a proper christmassy mood.

What is your favourite Christmas memory?
Ooh this is so hard, I can't think of a favourite memory.  Probably when I was little, getting all excited for santa coming and opening my presents.

I tag everyone to do this tag and I Hope you all have a great Christmas!

L'Occitane Delivery.

Hey Everyone!  I have received my order from L'Occitane and thought I would share with you what I purchased and what I received due to a special Christmas offer!  I received a ticket in the post letting me know that if I spent £35 or more that I would get a free Delights from Provence Collection worth £30, so I thought why not.  Here is a list of the products I bought, along with the ones I got for free.

Products purchased to make up £35

Delights from Provence Collection - Free in a lovely little make up bag

I also received two samples one of which was of the precious cream (as listed above) and another being the Immortelle Divine Extract Ultimate Youth Serum.  I'm looking forward so much to trying all these products and as I already own the L'Occitane Shea Butter cream, I definitely feel that they are a fab brand.

Bumble and Bumble Delivery.

Hey everyone! As you can probably tell, I received a delivery from Bumble and Bumble.  If anyone is unaware of this company, they basically sell hair products.  I have used their products before and I would definitely recommend them.  I myself have naturally straight hair, which honestly I'm not the biggest fan of, I'd absolutely love to have waves.  Anyway that's not the point, and there's nothing I can do about that (Boo!)  therefore I have to make do with products that give me volume or some sort of texture.

When I went on their website I noticed that they were doing an offer of when you spent over £30 you would receive a 60ml tube of the Texture Creme, which I had been eyeing up before, so I thought why not.  I purchased the Thickening Shampoo (£5.50), Thickening Conditioner (£6.50) and the Thickening Serum (£21.50, yes i know ridiculous) considering these are only 50ml bottles.  I always get taken in by offers, ending up spending a fortune just to gain a free product.

For the Christmas season they are doing free delivery and at the checkout you get to pick two samples of your choice.  I decided to choose the Straight Shampoo, Conditioner and Blow Dry Balm (which you can purchase here in a travel set for £29.00) and the Brilliantine product!

Hope you liked my post on the Bumble and Bumble products I received and that you're all having a great weekend.  I have a L'Occitane delivery coming sometime next week, so I will make a post on that too!

Soap & Glory Review.

Hey Everyone, so yesterday I went shopping!  I went into Boots to purchase some things as I  had a couple of points coupons to use up.  Aswell as that I wanted to purchase some Soap & Glory products and these are the 3 things I decided on after standing there for about 15 minutes deliberating over what to buy in the 3 for 2 offer.

First I chose the Sugar Crush Body Wash (500ml).  I had seen this product in some youtube videos and blogs, so thought why not give it a try.  I used it this morning and after using it for the first time, it's safe to say I love it.  The smell of lime is lovely, but not too over powering and it is such a fresh smell, it is great for a refreshing shower.  It also leaves your skin feeling  soft and smooth.  I would definitely recommend this product.

Next I decided to buy the Hand Food (125ml).  The smell of this product is great, with the combination of Shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow.  It is clear by the ingredients that this product is going to make your hands feel super soft and this is right.  With the non greasy formula, this hand cream makes your hands feel super smooth.

Finally I decided to purchase the Girligo Body Moisturising Mist (250ml), which is basically a spray on moisturiser.  It obviously isn't a heavy duty moisturiser, but it definitely does it's job.  My skin is left soft and smooth,  with an amazing light scent to top it all off.

I haven't had the full effect of these products yet, however I thought I would review my thoughts about them (After all first Impressions do count!)

Benefit They're Real Mascara Review.

Hey Everyone!  I'm going to review the Benefit They're Real Mascara.  I don't actually own any products from Benefit, however I had read on a few blogs and watched a few youtube videos that contained this mascara.  I went on Feel Unique for a browse and noticed it was the no1 best selling eye product on their website, therefore I definitely had to give it a try.  Whenever you see percentages on a product, you always get a bit sceptical as to whether or not they are there just to entice people to purchase the product or if it is genuinely that amazing!

First of all I'm gonna say that my eyelashes are not the best, I wish they were long and curled, however they're not (Boo!).  I tried this mascara, not being convinced that it would actually do all that it said on the packaging.  I put it on and to be honest I didn't really notice a difference, the more I put on to get the effect the more it clumped.  I then used my eyelash curlers to give them some curl, however that just clumped it worse.  From the reviews I've read everyone seems to think it is amazing, and I can agree a little as it has made my eyes stand out a bit more.  I'm just going to blame my eyelashes, for this product not appearing to be that amazing, however on others it might be great.  Overall i'm not bowled over by this product and for being that expensive, I would have been expecting something special.

Miss Selfridge Purchase.

Hey Everyone!

I thought I would share with you a purchase I made from Miss Selfridge.  Lately I've been absolutely loving wearing skater style skirts and dresses, I will say Topshop is the perfect place to buy these.  However the other day I was in Miss Selfridge which is not really a place I ever venture into nowadays, and I spotted this skirt.  It is a nude coloured skirt with a large printed rose pattern, I just think it's perfect!  I feel that it can be worn casually or it can be dressed up.  I haven't actually worn the skirt yet, but I have tried it on and it is very comfortable with it's elasticated waist, therefore I cannot wait to wear it.

Thanks for reading my blog and if you would like to request any blog posts just leave a comment below!

Tag - How Much Is My Face Worth?

Hey Everyone!

I have seen this tag floating around on several blogs and I thought I would give it a go.  It seems like a fun tag to do and it will be interesting to see how much I spend on my face each day.  I use the same make up products daily, I never really change around apart from with lip products.

      1. Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base - £36.00
      2. Bobbi Brown BB Cream in Extra Light - £28.00
      3. Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque - £18.00
      4. Bobbi Brown Face Touch Up Stick in Porcelain - £19.00
      5. Bobbi Brown Blush in Nude Pink - £18.00
      6. Bobbi Brown Natural Brow Shaper & Hair Touch Up - £14.50
      7. Collection 2000 Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner - £2.00 approx
      8. Clinique High Impact Mascara - £16.00
      9. Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder - £40.00
      10. Bobbi Brown Lip Balm SPF15 - £15.00
Total: £206.50

I'm totally embarrassed now to mention the make up brushes I use were £142.00 from Bobbi Brown.  Therefore my grand total is £348.50..which is slightly ridiculous!  I think I may need to cut down on my Bobbi Brown obsession..

Hope you enjoyed this tag and if you have any ideas or products you would like me to blog about, let me know in a comment below!

This Or That Tag.

Hey everyone, I thought I would do a tag today.  I came across a This or That tag on the lovely Ellie's blog and thought I would give it a go.

MAKEUP

Blush or Bronzer -  I have quite a pale complexion, so I use blusher more than bronzer.  Sometimes I use both.
Eyeliner or Mascara - Mascara.  Mascara can be worn without eyeliner, whereas eyeliner alone I'm not the biggest fan of.
Lipgloss or Lipstick - I've been loving wearing lipstick lately.  I often find lipgloss to be far too sticky.
Foundation or Concealer - Foundation, as some foundations do work as a concealer as well.
Neutral or Coloured Eyeshadow - I never wear eyeshadow, but if I did I would have to say neutral.
Pressed or loose eyeshadows - Pressed.  Loose eyeshadows make such a mess.
Brushes or Sponges - Brushes.  Especially my Bobbi Brown set.

NAILS

OPI or China Glaze - I would have to say OPI, I've never used China Glaze.
Long or Short - Long, but not too long.
Acrylic or Natural - Natural nails are perfect if they are in good condition.
Brights or Darks - Brights for spring/summer.  Darks for Autumn/Winter.

BODY

Perfume or body spray - Perfume.
Body Wash or Soap - Body wash.
Lotion or Body Butter - Body Butter.  L'Occitane Shea Butter is my favourite just now

FASHION

Jeans or Sweat Pants - If I'm lounging about the house I would have to say sweat pants, but usually I would wear skinny jeans/leggings.
Long or Short Sleeves - Short Sleeves with a cardigan on top, does that count?
Dresses or Skirts - Hmm I'd say Dresses for night, however I do like wearing skirts during the day with a t-shirt tucked in.
Stripes or Plain - Plain, stripes might clash.
Flip flops or Sandals - Sandals, flat or wedged.
Scarves or Hats - Scarves.  I'm not a big fan of wearing hats.
Studs or Dangly Earrings - I'm a big fan of studs, however for a night out I might choose the Dangly option.
Necklaces or Bracelets - Both? Is that allowed?
Heels or Flats - Depends if it's during the day or night.  I'm not exactly the tallest person ever, so heels do give me some height.
Cowboy Boots or Riding Boots - I prefer Ankle boots.
Jacket or Jumper - Jacket.
Abercombie or Hollister - Hollister, I don't own any Abercrombie.

HAIR

Curly or Straight - Well considering my hair is naturally straight I'd have to say straight.  However I always wish I had wavy hair, mainly cause my hair does nothing :(
Bun or Ponytail - Bun, as it always makes your hair look tidy.
Hair Spray or Gel - Hair Spray.  I always feel gel is more for a guys hair, but that's just my opinion.
Long or Short - Long hair definitely, you can do so much with it.  Wearing it in a bun etc.
Light or Dark - My hair is a light brown with blonde highlights through it so light for just now, but I do fancy covering them up and going darker for the winter season.
Side Fringe or Full Fringe - I would have to say full fringe as I've had one so many times, now I wear my hair in a middle part.
Up or Down - Down.  I went through a phase when I was at school where I would wear my hair up everyday, what was I thinking?

Hope you all enjoyed reading this tag, and again if you would like me to do any other tag or product review just let me know in a comment below.

Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment Plus Review.

This is just a quick review on the Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment Plus.  My mum bought an Ojon gift set and received a mini tub (however that was the original, which does have quite a strong smell) and lately I've found myself borrowing it.  I've been loving it so much I just had to go out and purchase a 100ml tub, I bought the Plus version which not having used it yet, as far as I can see the only plus being that the smell isn't so overpowering.

The product deeply treats and restores damaged hair, leaving it vibrant and manageable.  I used the original mask a couple of days ago, and my hair is still silky soft.  In my last blog post you will see the shampoo and conditioner that I use everyday, which goes along greatly with this hair mask when used once or twice a week.

Recommended For

Hair that is lifeless, dull, brittle,  frizzy, flyaway or unmanageable hair.

How To Use
  • Scoop 1 to 1½ teaspoon into palm of hand.
  • Warm by rubbing between hands until it transforms into a nourishing oil.
  • Distribute evenly throughout hair and scalp.
  • Repeat steps 1- 3 until hair is fully saturated.
  • Comb through and allow to penetrate for 20 minutes before rinsing and shampooing.
Overall even though this product is on the expensive side at £32.50, I would definitely recommend buying it.  As you are only using a small amount of the product each time, I expect it to last a while.

Things I'm Loving Lately.

OJON Damage Reverse Shampoo and Conditoner
Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder
Mac Lipstick - Please Me
Bertie Peonee Ankle Boots
Rings Various - Accessorize and Topshop
Yankee Candles - Christmas Cookie and Sparkling Cinnamon

  • I have been absolutely loving this shampoo and Conditioner lately.  I have used it before, and lately I have began using it again after a promotion I heard about.  I'm sure John Lewis and Boots were the only shops doing this,  you would bring in an empty bottle to one of the stores and you would receive two bottles of Ojon, one being the Damage Reverse Shampoo and the other the Conditioner..a bit hard to believe huh?  But it was true.  It hydrates your hair and restores it back to health.  I've been finding it's been really smoothing my hair and getting rid of the flyaways.  After blowdrying my hair it is left sleek and straight, which is perfect.
  • The second thing I have been loving is the Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder.  I am such a fan of Bobbi Brown and basically all my everyday make up products are from there.  When I finish my make up I always felt as though something was missing, this was it.  This powder is amazing, it instantly brightens your face and gives your skin a healthy glow, I would definitely recommend it.  It won the award for Best Finishing Powder at The Elle UK Beauty Awards this year, which instantly made me believe that it was worth investing in.

  • This next product Mac Please Me Lipstick, I bought back in July when I was going on holiday.  I'd never really worn it a lot but lately it's been an everyday essential.  Usually I wouldn't wear a lipstick during the day but this is just a lovely pink matte colour which adds a touch of colour to your face and stands out just enough.  I've also been wearing it with a little gloss on top and that looks perfect also.

  • Okay next is my Bertie boots which I absolutely adore.  They are black ankle boots with a little tassel at one side and a mid block heel.  I'm not exactly the tallest person ever, however wearing these makes me feel a little taller.  I've been wearing them mainly during the day shopping etc with a cute little dress, leggings and even skinny jeans.  I'd definitely recommend them as a great boot and I'm looking to buy maybe some little ankle socks to wear over the top.

  • Aaah jewellery, everyone loves jewellery.  Recently I've discovered a ring obsession, every time I'm out shopping a ring always catches my eye, so therefore I have to buy (poet and I didn't know it).  Whether you wear one ring or a few, I always feel that it completes an outfit.  I'm loving the last three ring purchases I've made and I'll probably be adding more very soon.

  • Right on to my final 'Things I'm Loving Lately' Yankee Candles.  I have become far too obsessed with buying these (that bad that the woman in the shop clearly knows every time I step in there I'm gonna be buying some and starts a conversation to convince me).  I mainly buy the little sampler ones (£1.75 online) that I have a vintage style candle holder for, however I was at Dobbies and they had these two medium sized Christmas candles in a box for £20.  I couldn't resist, I've heard a lot of people raving about Christmas Cookie and yes they're right it's lush.  Sparkling Cinnamon is the perfect Christmassy smell so I cannot wait to light them both and get into the Christmas Spirit.

So sorry for the long post, if anyone could let me know how to get photos side by side I would be very grateful :)

Again thank you to everyone that reads my blog and If you have any products you would like me to review feel free to let me know!
